Rooster Truck Racing in Nürburgring. 1 – 2 July 2017.

Qualifying:

Great pace for Luke and getting used to the circuit.

Having a couple of issues with understeer with the truck but the pace was good.

Luke qualified P7 but due to a red flag incident Luke was penalised due to an infringement during this time.

Which resulted in luke being disqualified for race 1 and race 3 so he would have to start at the rear of the grid P28.

Race 1:

Starting P28, gutting for the team to start in this place but Luke had a great race and finished 9th!

A difficult race for luke to battle through the field of Division 2 trucks and playing catch up on the Division 1 competitors! With constant changing weather conditions it was an extra difficulty for Luke to battle with.

Overall we are pleased with Luke’s progress especially in which he faced during the race.

Race 2:

Luke started P9 and finished in 6th.

Great battle with Stuart oliver throughout the race! Once again a very wet race with visibility VERY low! With other competitors struggling with grip, it allowed luke to make up some essential positions.

Race 3:

After finishing 6th in the previous race Luke was due to start P3 on the grid but due to the infringement in qualifying Luke startedP27 and had another great battle in the wet, brining King Klaus home in 7th!

Race 4:

Luke was due to start P2 alongside Michael Oliver. The race was declared wet and started under yellow flags, unfortunately another truck spilt diesel and oil around the circuit terminating the race and the remaining weekend… Luke was ‘in the zone’ and prepared for a great battle from P2… sadly this was cancelled.

Donington Park. 22 – 23 July

As Rooster Truck Racing and Luke Taylor prepare for Donington Park this weekend for Convoy in the Park full setups are in order.

We have worked over the past 2 weeks with setup adjustments.

After a strong season so far we look forward to the weekend ahead of us.
